SCHOLARSHIPS

AIE INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIP

AIE Institute encourages students to strive for academic excellence, serve one another and make contributions to the wider community. AIE Institute has developed several merit-based scholarships and bursaries to support students striving for academic excellence, contributing to the wider AIE Institute community and assist students with specific needs and disadvantages.

  • Successful domestic applicants can choose between a discount on their course fees or a cash bursary.
  • International students can apply for a merit-based scholarship towards their tuition fees. This cannot be taken as a cash bursary.
  • Scholarships and bursaries are paid post census date for each unit.
  • AIE Institute does not offer advice regarding the taxation of any scholarships or bursaries received or Centrelink implications of any scholarships or bursaries received by learners.

MONASH SCHOLARSHIPS - CHANGE OF PROCESS

Monash Scholarships for students applying via VTAC will NO LONGER require a separate application. Applicants who have a Monash course on their VTAC preferences will be assessed automatically based on ATAR for merit-based scholarships (this is the current process so there has been no change here).

Those scholarships that have an equity category requirement will now also be assessed automatically based on the SEAS data provided as part of the VTAC application.

This change:

offers an improved student experience during what is a very busy time for applicants

means there is one less process your young people need to complete to be considered

simplifies the message around applying for scholarships i.e. "Tell us about you and we'll match you to the best, most appropriate scholarship for your situation."
