Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As we reach the midway point of Term 2, I would like to take this opportunity to share some important reminders and celebrate the wonderful events happening in our school community.
School Uniform
Our school uniform is an important part of creating a sense of belonging and pride in our community. Wearing the correct uniform helps students feel like they are part of the school and makes it easy for staff and other students to identify them, particularly during excursions and school events.
We ask that all students wear their full school uniform each day, including appropriate socks, black shoes and school jumpers. Sports shirts and joggers may be worn on Friday for our school sport day.
The school uniform shop is open on Thursday mornings from 8:45am - 9:15am. Items can be purchased online via School Bytes.
Lost uniform items are a common issue, so please ensure that every piece of your child’s uniform (jackets, hats, lunchboxes, etc.) is clearly labelled with their name. This helps us return items quickly and reduces the likelihood of things staying in lost property.
Our school is a referring school for the Smith Family’s Learning for Life program, additional information is attached with this week’s newsletter. This funding can be used to support the purchase of new school shoes, new school uniforms and school equipment throughout the year.
Hoop Earrings, Make up and Fake Nails
Recently staff have reported an increase in students wearing hoop earrings, make-up and fake nails. Please remind your child that make-up—including eye liner, mascara, foundation and other cosmetics—should not be worn to school. Additionally, hoop earrings and fake nails, including acrylics and stick-on nails, can lead to accidental injuries during classroom tasks, sports, and playtime. For safety reasons we ask that students do not wear them to school. If you have any questions, please contact the school office.
Attendance
The wellbeing of our students is extremely important to us. One way we protect the wellbeing of your child is by fulfilling our responsibilities as both parents/carers and school staff by reporting and monitoring student absences.
Please remember to submit your child’s non-attendance via School Bytes or contact the school office on (02) 4821 2827. This is best done early in the morning if your child is going to be away or late for school so your child’s absence can be recorded correctly and we can provide appropriate support for you and your family.
If you speak a language other than English and need help talking with our staff, please telephone the interpreter service on 131 450. This service is free. Listen in your language or see How to contact the Telephone Interpreter Service.

School Events
Staff have been busy planning, organising and attending many school events with students. We thank you for your patience in the short turnaround of these events. To assist us in preparing for the events, we kindly ask that you respond to the permission note with Yes or No so the final preparation can be completed by the staff member organising the event. From Term 3, students who do not have a returned permission note by the due date will not be able to participate in the excursion or event.
ANZAC Day March
Our students proudly represented the school at the recent ANZAC Day March. Thank you to our school leaders for leading our school in the march and laying a wreath during the service, an event that provided our students with a meaningful opportunity to learn about Australia’s history and values.
Cross Country Carnival
The Cross Country Carnival brought our students together for fun, fitness and friendly competition. Every student who participated should feel proud of their achievements and we congratulate students who represented our school at the PSSA District carnival on Friday 15 May.
PSSA Sports Gala Days
Students recently took part in Goulburn Crookwell District PSSA Touch and Netball Gala Days. These regional sports days give students the chance to develop new skills, represent the school, and meet students from other schools. We are excited for our soccer team, who will compete next Friday.
Mother’s Day High-Tea:
Our annual Mother’s Day High Tea, organised by the P&C, was a special occasion to honour mothers, grandmothers and caring family members. Thank you to everyone who helped and attended—the sense of community was wonderful.
Kindergarten Enrolments for 2027
Our school is now accepting enrolments for Kindergarten in 2027. If your child will be starting school or if you know families in our area, please encourage them to contact the front office for information. We welcome all new families and are happy to answer questions or provide tours.
