Year 10 Exams are fast approaching, and it is important that students and families carefully review the exam timetable to ensure students arrive on time and can plan their study effectively.
Week 9: Exam Revision Week
During Week 9, no new content will be taught in classes. Instead, students will participate in revision activities, practice exams, and review sessions to help prepare them for their exams in the following week.
All students are expected to attend school during Exam Revision Week, as normal classes and expectations will continue to apply. Students who are absent during this time may miss important preparation opportunities, which could impact their exam performance.
Week 10: Exam Week
Please find attached the Year 10 exam schedule for Semester 1. Please note the following
- During Exam Week, regular Year 10 classes will not run. Year 10 students are only expected to attend their scheduled exams.
- Year 11 classes and VET classes will be running during the exam week. If students do not have an exam on during their Year 11 class, they are expected to attend.
- Students are expected to arrive at least 10 minutes prior the scheduled start time of each exam. This allows students time to locate their room, organise their materials, and be ready to begin promptly. All students are expected to be in full school uniform during exam week
- Students who have a session 1 and session 3 exam must remain at school from 8:50am to 4:00pm, even if they do not have an exam in the middle session. Please plan ahead and pack lunch or bring money for the canteen
- Students whose first exam for the day is at 11:30am must arrive by 11:20am
- Students whose first exam for the day is at 2:00pm must arrive by 1:50pm·
- Please note that students who arrive late will not receive additional time and may be refused entry to the exam. This is in line with VCAA expectations and helps prepare students for Senior School procedures.
- Students are reminded that exam conditions must be followed at all times. Any student found cheating, possessing unauthorised notes, or communicating with other students during an exam will receive an automatic score of zero. These expectations are designed to prepare students for the high standards required in Senior School, including SACs and VCE examinations.
If a student is absent on the day of an exam, a medical certificate must be provided. Students who do not provide appropriate documentation may receive a score of "0" for the assessment.
