EDUCATIONAL PATHWAYS PROGRAM

Work Ready Workshops

As part of the Educational Pathways Program, students from Years 11 and 12 had the opportunity to attend a Work Ready workshop delivered by Legal Aid NSW.

The interactive session provided students with valuable information about their rights and responsibilities in the workplace, including being paid correctly, staying safe and respected at work, speaking up if something does not feel right and knowing where to access advice and support.

The workshop gave students practical knowledge and confidence to help prepare them for future employment and workplace experiences

Thank you to Legal Aid NSW for supporting our students with this important learning opportunity.

Year 9 and 10 Commerce students, along with other interested students, recently participated in the Work Ready Legal Aid workshop presented by Legal Aid NSW.

Hosted by legal aid lawyer Kieran O'Sullivan, the workshop provided students with valuable insights into workplace rights and responsibilities. Topics included fair pay, workplace safety and respect, how to raise concerns in the workplace, and where to seek help and support if needed.

This informative session helped students develop a greater understanding of their rights and responsibilities as they prepare for future employment opportunities.
