Staff Interview - Sue Evins Prep

How long have you worked at BNPS?

I have worked here for almost 20 years!!! (I started when I was very, VERY young).

What inspired you to be a teacher?

The most rewarding part of working with students is seeing their progress over time - those moments when something “clicks,” their excitement when they succeed, and the positive relationships they build along the way.

If you weren't a teacher, what career would have you pursued?

I think I would have liked to be a nurse - maybe a midwife.

What is your favourite thing to do on weekends?

I love going for long walks on the beach and going out for brunch with friends. I also often go to stay in Red Hill where most of my family live. My sister has lovely accommodation on her property called 'The Red Hill Barn'.

If you could go on a holiday anywhere in the World, where would you go?

I would love to explore more of Europe. I would also love to go on a Mediterranean cruise and visit Portugal, Spain and Morocco. I am also hoping to visit Japan next year...

What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?

I used to teach in a Special Education setting called Glenallen. This is a school that caters for children with a physical disability or a severe health impairment.

What recently made you smile?

 Definitely my Preppies!

What would you like to say to your class?

Thank you from making me smile and for making every day so rewarding and enjoyable! 🙂
