Aleia – Year 6 student
A huge congratulations to our very own year 6 student – Aleia who has trialled to make the School Sport Victoria State Diving team. After a very nervous Aleia at the trials, she did some of her best diving ever under pressure to be selected for the team.
Aleia will compete in the National championships right here in Melbourne at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre from the 25 July- 31 July.
The BNPS community are super proud of your efforts, and we look forward to watching you compete.
District Cross Country
After setting up in the rain and drizzle the conditions improved for all our runners to compete at Dendy Park against the seven other schools in our district. We had a team of 62 students after finishing in top 10 at the House XC eager to run either a 2km or 3km course with friends and teammates.
We had lots of tears, smiles, cuddles from parents, slips and slides across the finish line but overall all our students had a great time both supporting each other and running their own races.
Thanks to our staff- Mrs Ball, Mr Bray and Ms Vincent who looked after the team for the morning. The students really appreciate the care and support that our staff give to them. We had many parents watching and also supporting the kids which was fantastic.
BNPS finished in overall 2nd place for the morning which is an outstanding result and we also finished in 2nd place for the aggregate trophy too. Can’t ask for much better results than that!!! Well, we can next year and aim for NUMBER 1.
We had 9 runners who made the top 10 from BNPS and they will competed at Division at Cornish college.
Division Cross Country
Congratulations to our team of 9 students who competed today in the Division XC event out at Cornish College. It is a real achievement to make it to this level and everyone at BNPS is super proud of all your efforts. Thanks to all the parents/grandparents who came to support the students. We can’t do it without you all.
