Stage 1

A message from Stage 1

At Ben Venue, we promote a culture of open communication among students, urging them to promptly report any challenges they may be facing to their teachers. Our school places a strong emphasis on fostering a positive environment through the implementation of PAX Hands and Feet, prioritising safe play and positive friendships, and consistently demonstrating respect towards parents/carers, teachers, and fellow students in all interactions. Should you have any concerns, we encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher.

A big thank you to the students who returned home reading folders on Friday. We aim to encourage independence in our students, and being responsible for bringing library bags and reader folders to school on the right day is a great start. New readers will only be sent home in the reading folder your child brought to school at the beginning of the year. Please do not forget to comment on, and sign, the home reading log. Reading to and with someone at home is a great opportunity for students to practise the skills they are learning in the classroom.

Upcoming Events

The K-2 Hat Parade is scheduled to take place from 12:00 - 1:00 pm on Thursday 28 March (Week 9). As part of our visual arts unit, students will be crafting their hats at school in preparation for this event. We extend a warm invitation to both students and their families to attend, followed by an opportunity to enjoy lunch with your child. Hot cross buns will be available for purchase, and we kindly encourage the use of card payments for these. We look forward to seeing you then.
