Photography in 5/6 Area

During Inquiry this week, the 5/6 students were learning about ‘visual and spatial’ learners.

These types of learners enjoy being creative, including taking photos! We had lots of fun using our iPads to try and take some creative photos outside. Here are some examples of what we came up with -

New - Performing Arts

Guest Actor Workshops for Grades 5/6

The Grade 5/6 classes were extremely lucky today to host a visit from Rune Nydal, an actor, dancer and singer who is currently touring Australia as part of a First Nations performance called, "The Sunshine Club."

Rune spoke to the students about his journey into acting and singing, his experiences in the production of "West Side Story" where he performed on a stage built over the Sydney Harbour and encouraged all students to have a go at every opportunity that comes their way!

Rune taught us a terrific song - Mangoes, mangoes - and a great game - Zip, Zap.

He also sang one of his audition songs for one lucky class!!

It was a brilliant experience to have such a professional actor, singer and dancer workshop with us!!

This visit by Rune was organised by HIT Productions and Mrs. Hicks, who co-ordinated with Liz Zito from HIT. What a great day!

New - Project Compassion Launch
