On Sunday 7 April the Northern Tablelands Orienteering Club is hosting a bush event on private property at Mt Brown. The property is for sale so this may be your last chance to explore this venue! There is no need to register in advance, just turn up on the day. Newcomers of any age and ability can join in at their own pace individually or in small groups. Dress for the weather and bring a water bottle as well as something to eat. Maps, SI sticks (for registering controls) and a limited number of compasses are available on the day. A compass is not needed for the Easy course. Experienced orienteers can show you how to get started. If you have any questions contact the organiser Don Barker prior to the day on 67755560 or dabarker@skymesh.com.au or check out the NTOC web site: https://ntoc.asn.au/

From Armidale take the Bundarra Road (signposted off Miller St opposite the arboretum) and follow West for 28km to a T-junction with the Uralla-Bundarra Road (aka Thunderbolt’s Way). Turn right and travel a further 2.6km before turning left into Torryburn Road. Proceed for 4.5km before turning right into the property Spring Creek and travelling about 300 metres as directed.
