School Council

Your 2024 school council

Welcome to the new year. My name is Sarah Brooker and I am the president of the school council for 2024. I have a son in Year 7, a son that has gone through the school and another son on his way in years to come.

Thank you to the council members who served the community in 2023. In particular, Kade Dillon whose steady leadership as president kept us on track, Belle Jackson’s whose editing skills were much appreciated and student representative Christina Stacey, who ensured we saw things from a student’s perspective (and whose fairy floss swirling skills were well received!). Thank you. Your time, feedback and contributions are much appreciated.

School council meets twice a term. If you have any questions or feedback on how to improve our school, please email me (sarah@scienceinpublic.com.au) or call me on 0413 332 489.

The fundraising and buildings and grounds committees are well established. HUGE thank you to Sarah Prismall and all of the volunteers who organised the colour run last year. I am looking forward to hearing what their plans are for this year. Mud…bouncing…hmmm

This year we are particularly keen to tap into you and your unique skills, whatever they are.

So, if you are a keen netball player, we would love it if you could spare some time to coach our teams. If you work in a nursery, we would welcome your advice on getting more mature trees to plant around the school. If you can build things, we’d love your advice on building a bike shed or a gaga pit. If you can sing, paint, write grant applications, please do get in touch.

I look forward to supporting the leadership of the school and being a voice for the school community.

Sarah
