REMINDERS FOR COUNTRY BUS TRAVELLERS

Country Buses seek your assistance in conveying to your child/ren the importance of following the Conditions of Travel. The safety and comfort of all passengers travelling on the School bus are of the utmost importance.

We ask that students show respect for our country school buses and those travelling on them.

Whilst waiting for the bus at your morning stop:

• Wait on the correct side of the road, keeping a safe distance from the bus stop/edge of the road
• Be early for the bus
• Wait until the bus has come to a complete stop before moving toward the door
• Board the bus in an orderly manner

During travel on the bus:

• Students to sit correctly and remain seated during the journey.  Wear a seat belt where fitted.
• Avoid distracting the driver, keeping the noise level to a comfortable level
• Due to a number of allergies, please refrain from eating on the bus
• Place rubbish in the bin

Disembarking:

• Wait until the bus has come to a complete stop before moving from your seat
• Only leave the bus at the School you are enrolled in
• Front passengers exit first

Whilst waiting for the bus at the Swan Hill Bus Exchange:

• If your bus is in the bay, please board
• While waiting for your bus, be at the correct gate ready to board when the bus arrives
• Staff only are to be on the footpath outside of the school yard when buses are moving, either into or out of the bay
• Bus travellers are not to leave the school grounds until you have boarded the bus
• No ball games are to be played in the Bus Exchange area. 
• Be respectful to other travellers, bus drivers and staff on duty’
