Harmony Day

When: 18 March (not a cultural dress day this year)

This year PMPS will be recognising Harmony Week on Monday 18 March.

Harmony Week is Australia's take on the United Nations Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the day aims to open conversations about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. It’s also a time to reflect on the importance of respecting and celebrating everyone's backgrounds within our communities.

On the day, students will work on activities that promote cultural awareness and there will be a special presentation at assembly, as always parents and carers are welcome to join.

This will not be a cultural dress day as it has been in previous years.

Feast for Freedom

Staff will be supporting the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre again by hosting Feast for Freedom. This shared meal helps to raise money to provide food, shelter and health services for people seeking asylum in Australia. If you are interested, please donate to this cause.
