From the Director of Students

Katee Mitchell

Today marks the end of a very busy term for Monivae with many camps, excursions and sporting events enjoyed by our students and staff. It has been wonderful to see the enthusiasm and camaraderie between year levels and houses, with many relationships developed and new friendships made.

It has also been great to see our students working towards their academic goals, and our Parent/Teacher night on Wednesday evening gave the opportunity for important discussions affirming progress and providing direction for changes moving on to Term 2.

A few organisational points for Term 2

Bus Travellers:

  • A reminder from our Bus Co-Ordinator for all country bus users on a term pass to keep an eye out for emails to renew/apply for term 2 bus travel and ensure payment is done before the start of term two or they will lose their seat on the bus.
  • Students requiring a casual use bus pass are required to bring a note from home, or a parent email AT LEAST 2 days before. This is vital as we do not always have seats to allocate casual users and do not want to see someone have no travel arrangements for the afternoon – having prior communication allows Reception to notify you if there are no seats available.

Students signing out:

  • Parents are required to come into Reception to collect their students, email reception@monivae.vic.edu.au or phone 55511200, to notify the staff of the arrangements for their child to leave the premises.
  • Students are NOT PERMITTED to sign themselves out without direct communication from a parent/guardian.
  • All students must enter and exit through the Front Office if arriving or leaving outside the normal school bell times.

Winter Uniform:

  • School returns on Monday, April 15 with the changeover to Winter uniform. Could you please use the holiday period to check and update (if needed) the uniform items that your child/children will wear for the next 2 terms.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy and Holy Easter, where you enjoy time with your families and friends.
