Hello, from Carolyn.
Respect, responsibility and kindness
Hello everyone,
On of our parents, Lynette, has kindly given permission for me to share the information and lovely photos from a recent Treaty Day event held in Wyndham Shire. Lynette and one of her children were involved in the celebrations.
On Sunday 24th November Wyndham Shire in Werribee hosted Treaty Day in the Park which is on Wadawurrung and Bunwurrung Traditional Country. Soliman, as Waa and his cousin Jake, as Bunjil, headed the Creation dance and created the other animals and people. Wadawurrung invited everyone up to do a shake the leg dance or show off dance.
I was up on stage with clap sticks to support the singing and didge playing.
