Top Tips to encourage your child to read daily

Boosting your child’s motivation to read is crucial for their cognitive development and overall academic success. When students are motivated, they engage more deeply with texts, which enhances their comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. Reading stimulates the brain, improving cognitive functions like memory, focus, and problem-solving.

1. Create a time daily to read books of interest to your child fosters ownership and engagement and promotes the reading experience.

2. Support and celebrate your child’s reading milestones as they progress with their reading skills and knowledge.

3. Sharing your passion for reading by discussing what you like to read, favourite authors etc can inspire your child to develop a love for reading.
