AEL Minecraft Competition
A select group of hardworking students from Years 4-6 were chosen to represent our school in the AEL Minecraft Competition. Working in small teams, they drew inspiration from Australian Indigenous Dreamtime stories, crafting entire worlds that brought to life chosen myths and legends. Using Minecraft’s digital blocks, our students created an array of impressive builds, including Tiddalik the Frog, Uluru, the Rainbow Serpent, and a range of imaginative Australian landscapes as settings for their worlds.
The competition spans all of Australia, with results set to be announced in mid-November. We have our fingers crossed that one of our incredible OLSS teams will bring home a prize!
To acknowledge the students' dedication, effective teamwork, and outstanding participation, each student received a certificate at our Assembly last week. A special thank you to Mrs Chigioni and Mrs Bowmaker for working with these students.
We’re so proud of what they’ve accomplished—well done to all involved!
