SCHOOL GARDEN WATERING PROGRAM - “Many hands make light work”
Special thanks to all staff and students who have been assisting with our watering of veggie gardens and fruit trees. The gardens are looking great and plants are growing well. Having lots of students helping out is quite encouraging and also gives them ownership of our garden program.
NEW MARKET GARDEN is coming along well with lots of plants starting to grow well. Great to see so many of our students involved with filling the garden beds with soil, manure and mulch and then helping to plant lots of veggies. So far we have planted lettuces, potatoes, peas, beans, zucchini, pumpkin, silverbeet, spring onions. This week we will be planting lots of tomato plants in our gardens.

PARENT/GRANDPARENT VOLUNTEER HELPERS NEEDED
We are always doing some outdoor gardening activities each Thursday at our school. If you can spare a couple of hours to come in weekly, fortnightly, monthly we could sure use your help. We also have a new cooking program happening with the students, and volunteers are needed for that program as well.
If you can assist contact me (Luch) via my email: luch.brighella@catholic.tas.edu.au or contact the school office on 6247 7104. Please ensure you have a current Working with Vulnerable People Card.
