Grade 1 | Leatherwood

CLEVER CLASS

Grade One have been looking at special days, celebrations and personal timelines in HASS this term. We recently celebrated Remembrance Day as a school, sharing in a moment of silence at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, to mark the end of World War 1. We remembered those who have fought for our country and those women and men who are still working hard to protect us.

The students learnt about the significance of the red poppy, and followed a guided drawing tutorial to draw some poppies, colouring in using only pencil. The results are breathtaking and are on display outside Grade One for families to see.
