Principal's Message

Dear Families,

As predicted, this term is flying! With only 18 school days remaining in 2024 we want to make sure we finish strong. Our students have shown great resilience through the tiring Water Awareness Program, and continue to give their best efforts in class. Great work!

We would like to extend an invitation to families to take part in our End of Year Assembly where we will formally farewell Mr Brendan Gill from John Paul II Catholic School. The assembly will be held in Emmaus (hall) from 11:00am - 12:30pm.  Following the assembly there will be a free BBQ lunch for families and you are welcome to take your children home. Please see your child’s class teacher to sign them out before leaving the school grounds. Our regular bus service will change to a 1:00pm service - bus bookings are essential so we know students have care waiting at home. Depending on the demand, we can also offer supervision at school and a 3:00pm bus run if required. Please complete the form using the link below and indicate your preferred bus time.

Our final optional Learning Conferences are available from December 9 - 12th. If you would like to make an appointment to see your child’s class teacher to discuss their learning, please contact them directly or email johnpaul@catholic.tas.edu.au and we will arrange an appointment.

Staffing for 2025 is nearly finalised and will be communicated in the coming weeks. We are able to confirm that as of next year we will have straight classes from Kinder to Grade 6.  Currently, we have two composite Grade 5/6 classes, which will be split into seperate Grade 5 and Grade 6 classes for 2025 onwards.
