In French, Year 2 students are learning the vocabulary for a variety of school supplies. As the students explained, this will help them to be able to share their supplies! To practise the names of objects, students have been playing Bingo, matching games and whiteboard games such as Hangman and guess what’s in my backpack. Students are taking home a book that they’ve been reading in class ‘In My Backpack’ (Dans mon sac a dos), as pictured here in 2D.

In French, Year 5 students are designing their dream bedrooms! By using an online vocabulary program, Quizlet, students learn and practise pronunciation of objects in the bedroom. Students are writing sentences with prepositions to describe the location of objects in relation to other objects in their room. Then, they can talk about their dream bedrooms in detail.
