Hands-On Learning Excursion to Bunnings – A Day of Skills, Teamwork, and Giving Back!

Our Hands-On Learning (HOL) Trade and Landscape students recently enjoyed a hands-on excursion that combined skill-building, industry insight, and a spirit of community support. The HOL team embarked on a walk to Bunnings, where they had the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and assemble flat-pack furniture. These completed pieces are now being donated to charity, highlighting the students' commitment to giving back.

In addition to the practical work, the group also gained valuable behind-the-scenes knowledge of the trade industry, learning directly from professionals about what goes into a day in the field. After a well-earned lunch, the group walked back to school, reflecting on a day full of new skills and meaningful teamwork.

It was a fantastic day for all involved, one that blended education, experience, and community contribution – exactly what HOL is all about!
