Year Four

Dear Year Four Families,

As this year draws to a near, we have been hard at work on our final Unit of Inquiry for the year. We have been celebrating all the hard work and effort that students have put in to their education this year.

Unit of Inquiry

As part of our final Unit of Inquiry, exploring the central idea "Environmental processes can lead to the transformation of the Earth's surface," the Year Four students proudly completed their landform models. Each student showcased their understanding by designing and building a model of their chosen landform, highlighting how natural processes shape our planet. We were thrilled to welcome the Year Threes for a special visit, where they explored the creations and asked insightful questions about the transformations behind each landform. It was a fantastic opportunity for collaboration and learning across year levels!

Literacy

Students have been working hard to finalise their explanation texts about their chosen landform. These texts were well researched and became the inspiration for their landform models.

Students also had the opportunity to create additional elements to enhance their presentation for the Year Three visitors.

Mathematics

Students have finished their unit on time and have been busy learning about capacity. Students favourite task has been using their creative writing skills to create a magic potion piece of writing and using it as an inspiration for them to make their own potion, while exploring the capacity of a range of containers.

Christmas Carols

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us for the Christmas Carols. Your support, joyful singing, and festive spirit truly made the evening magical. Thank you for making the night so special!

End of Year Celebration

We are thrilled to share that our local excursion  to our local playgrounds was a huge success! The day was filled with laughter and plenty of outdoor fun as our students wrapped up the school year with a memorable adventure.

The students enjoyed a relaxing picnic lunch and it was a chance for everyone to unwind, chat with friends, and soak in the natural beauty around them.

Thank You

We want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support and partnership. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and unforgettable memories, and we couldn’t have done it without you.

Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education and for being so actively involved in their journey. Whether through volunteering, attending events, or simply supporting from home, your involvement has made a huge difference in making this year a success.

As we head into the summer break, we hope you take time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the special moments with your family.
