Taekwondo at Karoo!

Karoo Primary School were lucky enough to have Bernie Victor from the Bayside Melbourne Taekwondo school come out over the last 2 weeks to teach Taekwondo skills to our year 5 and 6 students. Taekwondo is a martial art that has a history that dates back over two thousand years and originated in Korea. With it’s origins in self-defence, it has developed over time to also become a globally recognised sport and has been included as a full Olympic Sport since Sydney 2000.  Our students learnt different aspects of Taekwondo including effective self-defence skills, fitness, respect, discipline and of course we had lots of fun!
