Discovering Ancient Wonders: Terracotta Army Exploration

Our senior students have embarked on an exciting journey through Chinese history, delving into the fascinating story of the Terracotta Army. They have explored its origins, cultural significance, and the remarkable craftsmanship behind this iconic archaeological wonder.

As part of their learning experience, students have designed impressive posters to showcase their knowledge and creativity. These posters feature key facts, historical insights, and artistic interpretations of the Terracotta Army, reflecting their deep engagement with the topic.

We are thrilled with the enthusiasm and effort our students have poured into this project. The posters will be sent home next week, offering families the chance to see and celebrate their child’s hard work and learning.

Learning to Express Preferences in Mandarin

Our junior students have been developing their sentence-building skills in Mandarin by learning how to express personal preferences. Using phrases like “I like…” (我喜欢…wo xi huan...) and “I don’t like…” (我不喜欢…wo bu xi huan...), they are expanding their vocabulary and growing more confident in sharing their thoughts and opinions in Mandarin.

This engaging unit allows students to share examples of their favourite foods, book characters, and colours, fostering both creativity and self-expression. It’s been a joy to see their excitement as they practice forming sentences and discover the fun of expressing their preferences in a new language!
