Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,

BUILDINGS/ GROUNDS UPDATE

We have been very busy working to ensure our Buildings/ Grounds repairs and construction around the school is completed.

Our Basketball and Netball court is being finalised this week with the posts/ rings installation.

The students are certainly looking forward to accessing those and we will have a grand opening later this month or early next.

We will let you know regarding that. There may even be student v teacher-parent challenge matches.

The Gymnasium repairs are almost complete and I have to say it looks fantastic in there. 

We expect to be using that in the coming fortnight and it will be ready for our Year 6 Graduation and final assembly.

I’d like to again thank Clinton Brown and the Buildings/ Grounds sub-committee for the hard work and persistence in seeing these projects through.

GOVEMBER

Everyone is getting in the Govember spirit. As a collective we ran, walked, cycled, swam and paddled over 4000 km in the first week.

We are well on track to reach our target of 14000km in the month of November. We cannot impress upon everyone the need to get up and get moving while you can. 

It is great for the body and mind. One of our staff chalked up a 20km walk on their day off this week. Can you guess who?

VOLUNTEERS MORNING TEA - MONDAY 18TH NOVEMBER 2024 at 10:30AM

On Monday 18 November 2024 at 10:30am we are holding our Volunteers Morning Tea to thank those members of our school community who give up their time freely to support us in our work.

Parents, friends, guardians and other special members assist in many ways including classroom work, wellbeing programs, WPPA, SC, Arts, fundraising, sports, excursions and incursions.

Please know that we appreciate your effort and would love to see you at our M/Tea.

YEAR 6 GRADUATION THURSDAY 12 DECEMBER 2024 at 6:30PM- GYM

This is a reminder that our Year 6 Graduation commences at 6:30pm on Thursday 12 December 2024 in our newly re-furbished Gym. 

It will be great to see all Parents/Grandparents and Special Family members in attendance to celebrate this major milestone for our students.

FINAL ASSEMBLY FRIDAY 13 DECEMBER 2024 at 9:30AM - GYM

Our final assembly for the 2024 school year will be held on Friday 13 December 2024 at 9:30am in the school gym. 

We will take the opportunity to farewell our Year 6 students and staff who are leaving. The Year 6 student leaders for 2025 will also be announced.

SCHOOL SAVINGS BONUS

Please keep an eye out for your emails from the Department of Education regarding the school savings bonus. 

Schools are expecting the funds later in November. We are being further briefed on Tuesday next week.
