From the Principal's Desk

As we move further into Term 2, it has been wonderful to see the continued energy and enthusiasm across our school community. The term has already been filled with many opportunities for students to learn, compete, celebrate and grow together.
Last Friday’s Athletics Carnival was a fantastic day and a wonderful showcase of school spirit, participation and sportsmanship. It was pleasing to see so many students giving their best effort, encouraging one another and proudly representing their sporting houses throughout the day. Events such as these are only possible through the hard work and organisation of staff, and I would like to sincerely thank Mrs Middleton for her outstanding coordination of the carnival, along with all staff and parent volunteers who assisted on the day. Your support helped ensure the carnival was a positive and enjoyable experience for all students.
Earlier in the term, we also held our Mother’s Day High Tea, which by all accounts was a wonderful occasion for our community. Although I was unfortunately unable to attend, I have heard many positive comments about the event and the warm atmosphere created for all who were present. It was wonderful to welcome so many mothers, grandmothers and special guests into the school to celebrate the important role they play in the lives of our students. Thank you to all staff involved in organising the event and helping create such a special morning for our families.
At this point in the term, teachers are beginning the process of preparing Semester 1 student reports. Staff spend considerable time reflecting on student growth, achievement and learning progress to ensure reports provide meaningful feedback to families. Later this term, further information will be shared regarding upcoming diocesan changes to student reporting. More detailed communication regarding these changes will be provided as it becomes available later in the term.
In Week 3, all staff at All Saints’ participated in professional learning and discussion surrounding Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL). This work represents a minor adjustment and evolution of our current baseline behaviour expectations and will align All Saints’ with other schools across the Wagga Wagga Diocese. PBL focuses on creating consistent, positive and supportive learning environments where expected behaviours are explicitly taught and reinforced. While many of these practices already exist within our school, this process will help strengthen consistency and clarity for students across all learning spaces.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support of All Saints’. The strong partnership between school and home plays a vital role in ensuring our students continue to thrive academically, socially and spiritually.
God Bless,
Daniel Francis
Principal
