School Wide Positive Behaviour @ RPS

After another successful celebration of a school value, it has been great to see the follow up work occurring in the classrooms.
There are wonderful displays around the school so please keep an eye out for the Grade 2 Respect Day display in the Admin Building, The Garden of Respect next to the 3/4 area and the Cups of Respect in the BER building, which brought together the Prep and Grade 6 buddies.
The 3/4 area have continued their learnings from last week and are doing some wonderful work in this space.
For Respect Day, the Grade 3/4 students participated in a thoughtful discussion about the importance of showing respect in everyday school life. They brainstormed the different ways they can demonstrate respect towards others, both in and out of the classroom. To finish off the day, each student created a colourful flower, writing down one meaningful way they can show respect at school.
During Week 4 we will have a ‘Random Acts of Respect Week’. In the meeting on Thursday, students will brainstorm random acts of respect that can go on the chart. Students will have the chart on their desk all of week 4 and highlight each time they do an act of kindness. There will be a Respect Shout Out Box for students to write down when they see another student showing respect and what the act was. At the end of week, we will have an area assembly to share the shoutouts.
Great work RPS!
