In Our Classrooms – Reconciliation Week

National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. This week all classes continued learning about Reconciliation Week and it’s significance.

Our Prep students are currently undertaking a unit on Indigenous Culture and Dreamtime stories. They have learnt how to appropriately acknowledge country, read and explore Dreamtime Stories and had a chance to utilise the Yarning Circle set up in the Red Room.

Student Attitude to School Survey

This week and next, our Year 4 to 6 students will undertake the Student Attitude to School Survey. The AtoSS is a voluntary annual student survey offered by the Department of Education to assist schools and the department to gain an understanding of students' perceptions and experience of school. We value student voice as a means to improving student engagement, wellbeing and quality instruction and will be asking your child about their thoughts and feelings in relation to their school, their learning, peer relationships, resilience, bullying, health and wellbeing, physical activity, and life in general.
