Grade 3/4 Camp

In week 4, students in Grade 3/4 attended YMCA Lady Northcote Camp. All students challenged themselves to be pushed out of their comfort zone through all sorts of activities, including: flying fox, giant swing, yabbying, orienteering, and archery, just to name a few! Well done to all our happy campers for representing Ceres Primary proudly, as always!

A big shout out to the teaching team (Mr Callaghan, Mr Beaton, Mr James, Mr Roberts, Miss Willis and Bridie) for attending and providing an enriching and unforgettable camp experience!

National Walk to School Day

Walk Safely to School day was a hit with a great turnout from our CPS community! Huge thank you to Kelly Club for providing a healthy breakfast on arrival to school.

Education Week - Day 1 (STEM Workshop)

Mr. Noonan kicked off Education Week by taking all F-6 students for an incursion today. Students participated in a workshop, allowing them to apply STEM skills in lots of different tasks. Students had a blast!

Education Week - Day 2 (Open Morning & Guest Speaker)

To kick off Day 2 of Education Week, we started the day with a fantastic open morning. It was great to see so many parents, friends and visitors joining in our classroom activities and how proud our students were to showcase their work. A massive thanks to all who attended!

Following this, we were extremely lucky to have a guest speaker, Dr Anna, present to our students as part of today’s ‘Spotlight on STEM’. Anna, a practicing Cancer Research Scientist at Melbourne Uni, detailed her incredible work in the lab, answered questions and highlighted the importance of the “S in STEM: Science”. Our students were highly engaged in the presentation and were able to hear first-hand just how important this research is to helping people. Thanks Dr. Anna!

Education Week - Day 3 (TaskWorks Incursion)

Big thanks to the team at Taskworks for coming out and engaging the students in some amazing STEM activities!
