Catholic Schools Week
Next week we will celebrate Catholic Schools Week across the Armidale Diocese. On Tuesday 28th May Mrs Bearman and myself will attend the Armidale Diocesan Catholic Schools Week Mass at Mary Help of Christians Church, South Tamworth with our school leaders from year 6. This is a wonderful time of reflection for us to thank God for the opportunity to work and learn in a Catholic Professional Learning community. We thank God for the gifts and talents given to us to share with others and we celebrate what is special about Catholic Education as we come together with other schools in the area.
Masses
Our mass this week has unfortunately been cancelled as Father is presiding over a funeral in Manilla.
Our next school mass will be Friday 7 June at 10.15am led by the students in K/1/2. Everyone is most welcome to come along and join us for this mass.
Around the classrooms
Year 2 and 3 students have been learning about the feast of Pentecost. Here are some students with their work.
State of Origin fundraiser
On Wednesday 5 June we are having a 'wear your colours' day where students can show their support for their favourite team (QLD or NSW) by wearing maroon or blue. We ask that students bring along a gold coin donation that will go towards our fundraising for Catholic Mission. Please ensure your children wear clothes suitable for playing sport, as this is our PE day. You also need to ensure students wear sneakers and bring a suitable hat for the day.
