Kinder Friends Library Visits

We love welcoming our neighbouring kinder into our school.  This Term some groups have started a fortnightly borrowing session.  Today they came along with newly decorated Library Bags and a Red Group borrowing card.  This aims to build on skills to assist with transitioning to school and apart from that it is just super fun!

Book Marks by 3/22 This week it was wonderful to see this year 3 class arrive to their library session with these amazing BEE KIND book marks.  They made these in class and were showing me how they work to hold the page in their current fiction novels.  Well done 3/22!

National Simultaneous Storytime 2024

We enjoyed reading this years book "Bowerbird Blues" on Wednesday 22 May, joining the annual nationwide storytime.  Here are 2/18 showing their work inspired by the story.

Premiers' Reading Challenge 2024

At Assembly today Willow and Lily provided our first PRC tally update.

So far together as a school we have read and logged…2932 BOOKS.

The PRC runs all this term and all of Term 3 so if you haven’t started it is not too late. 

Student login and password details are available from your classroom teacher.  The highest reading class will receive a $50 scholastic voucher to purchase classroom books.  The top 10 students across the school will be recognised at Assembly with a special badge.  All the details are located on our school website here.

Monday : Foundation, Year 2 and 1/14

Wednesday: Year 1/12, 1/13, 1/15, 1/16, Year 6 and Year 3

Friday: Year 4 and Year 5

library.langwarrinparkps.vic.edu.au is our Library search website listing every single book on our shelves along with Clickview videos.  Instructions on how to log your child into this page are located on the home page, however families can browse without a login too.  In this space you can view your child/ren's current loans, loan history, write book reviews, reserve books, and create a reading list.  In the Quicklists tab is a Premiers' Reading Challenge tab which lists all the Challenge books in our library.
