Acting Principal's Report

As you would have read in Richard’s email, he will be taking three weeks personal leave. In his absence, I will be the Acting Principal and Brenda Petkovic will be our teaching and learning Assistant Principal.

I look forward to continuing working with the school community during this time.

Over the next few weeks, our Year 3-6 students will be participating in the Attitudes to Schools Survey. This survey is completed at all Victorian Government schools and is a tool which

enables the students to give feedback around how they are feeling on certain subjects. The survey is anonymous, and as a school, we receive data as a cohort group. This data helps us plan for future improvements.

Next week, we have a number of students heading to EMC as part of the Network Leadership Day. Students work on building their leadership skills and get to meet and work with students from our local schools. I have already had some excited would be leaders visit me with plans for an upcoming school event. We are lucky to have such innovative student thinkers at LPPS.

A few weeks ago, Daniel Vella visited Langy Park as part of our partnership with Real Schools. Daniel worked with students, staff, and parents during his visit. As part of our ongoing work with Real Schools, short videos will be shared from time to time regarding this work.

Please take some time to watch the second video from Daniel explaining; What are Restorative Practices?

Thursday morning, Deb Haddow and I had the pleasure of running another school tour for prospective 2025 families. It is always a pleasure to share the great things that we do at Langy Park. We look forward to many new enrolments in 2025.

A reminder that next Friday 31st of May is a Curriculum Day.
