Year 2

Catholic Education Week - Dress as your dream job

The Year 2’s loved the opportunity to dress as their dress job, we had; a firefighter, football players, a motocross rider, dancers, a singer and a policewoman.

Cross Country

The Year 2's had a great time at Rochester Secondary with the high school and primary school students! They ran 3 laps around the oval - we were super proud of everyone's efforts! 👏

Year 3/4

Catholic Education Week:

During Catholic Education Week, our enthusiastic 3/4 students enjoyed the highlights of the crazy hair extravaganza. Showcasing a dazzling array of creative and quirky hairstyles throughout the school.

Friday brought another burst of excitement as our students got to step into the shoes of their future selves, dressing up as their dream professions.

So many wonderful future teachers in the making!!

We had the opportunity to take part in Cross Country at Rochester Secondary School, and everyone performed exceptionally well! Thank you Mrs McEvoy for organising such a wonderful day.

  Year 5/6

Grade 6 - GRIP Conference

Last Tuesday, the grade 6’s travelled to Bendigo to participate in the GRIP conference. Students learnt about the steps needed to be a good leader.  They focused on the different sacrifices that a leader may need to take, and what we can do to make our school a better place.

Hub Conference

On Friday, the year 5 and 6 students participated in a leadership day in Echuca. Students met and worked with students from other schools in the diocese. The rotations consisted of an obstacle course, The Kindness Factory, a juggling workshop and a dance session. Whilst the students had a blast participating in each of the fun, hands-on sessions, they learnt about resilience, empathy, perspective and teamwork.

Text Based Unit

In our text based unit we have been studying the Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore. After reading the text we got to interview the main character, discuss the deeper meaning and create a summary of the text. We will soon be combining these elements to create a book review.

Maths

In maths, we have just finished our shape and space unit. Students loved the hands-on learning that goes with learning about angles, cartesian planes, 2d and 3d shapes. We will now be starting our ‘chance unit’.
