Level 1

Numeracy

The Level 1 students have begun to investigate shapes! This week we were focusing on the features of 2D shapes. The students were given a mixture of materials to create different shapes. They were able to identify the unique properties of many shapes including sides, corners, different lengths, and parallel lines. They had so much fun making their shapes and can’t wait until they get to make a shape robot later in the week!

Level 1 Creek Excursion

The Level 1’s had an absolute blast walking down to the creek. We had the most beautiful weather and enjoyed exploring our natural surroundings. We are excited to learn more about aquatic ecosystems in Sustainability. Thank you, Mrs Whitfield for organising our little adventure!

Inquiry

Our Inquiry topic this term is called, ‘The Power in Us’. We are learning about right and wrong and how people behave in situations where ethical issues are involved. To support our learning, we had a visit from the police. It was so exciting to learn about the different reasons people become police officers and how they help people in our community. We even got to see the inside of their car!
