All Things Hub

Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub

Last week in Community Hub we celebrated a special Mother’s Day playgroup on both campuses. The children enjoyed planting a flower, decorating biscuits and making cards for their special person. Families were also gifted a pamper pack that were donated from Pinchapoo which contained skincare and face products. Our mother’s had a wonderful time and shared that they would remember these memories forever.

In Women’s Wellbeing group, we have been learning about self-care and how important it is to incorporate simple daily rituals in looking after our mind, body and soul. On the Springvale Campus we had a walking group and enjoyed walking laps around the oval and on the Heights campus we have been dancing to Zumba. We also enjoyed making handcrafted cards using watercolour pencils.

On Tuesdays, our students learn about Digital Literacy and this week the students learned about scams. How to look out for them and what to do when we come across a fraudulent email. We are also in the process of organising an excursion to Springvale library where we will learn about the available programs and resources.

I would also like to remind families that we offer Food Relief sessions where families experiencing financial hardship can access pantry goods such as bread, milk, cereal and lots more. On Springvale Campus families are welcome to come anytime from Tuesday 2.30pm-3.30pm and on Heights Campus Wednesday 3.00pm-3.30pm.
