Ryan’s Rambling

Message from the Principal

Dear Families,

A few frosty mornings this week led to some wonderful, warm days. The wet and windy weather hit us on Thursday, but luckily, the students were able to spend time outside before the rain hit.

Work has begun on rectifying the Residence Building, which is the original Dana Street School Building, constructed in 1857. The Victorian School Building Authority have been helping our school manage the works, along with Heritage Victoria and our own School Council. The preparation for these works has taken almost two years, but we are very happy to have begun. Due to the works, we have had to move our Piano, Drum and Guitar lessons to the Art Room and 1/2 Building.  We thank everyone for being patient whilst we wait for these works to be completed.  They are due to finish by the end of July, at this stage.

Our staff have been diligently working on their semester reports over the last few weeks. As you know, we have migrated to Sentral this year, and your child’s semester report will be published to this platform via the app by the end of term. If you would still like to receive a printed copy of your child’s report, please request this at the office. We are more than happy to provide this to you.

We have our school photos on Monday of next week.  Information on how to order is in this and previous newsletters. Just a reminder that the portal does not have a cut off ordering date for individual photos, so you can order photos after they have been taken. Just know that there may be a late processing fee from MSP depending on when you order them. For sibling photos, these do need to be ordered before Monday, to ensure the photos are taken on the day by our photographers.

Have a fantastic weekend and stay warm.

Ryan 😊
