Tell Them From Me Survey 2024

As part of our focus on school effectiveness, Our Lady of Fatima Primary School Caringbah will be participating in an online survey for parents, staff and students called  Tell Them From Me® (TTFM®).

The survey will provide us with valuable feedback on what each group thinks about school life, how engaged they are with the school and the different ways staff interact with them. Schools in Australia and around the world have used the Tell Them From Me survey to help them improve.

During the next few weeks, all staff, parents and students will be given the opportunity and time to participate in this survey. Students from Years 4-6 will complete the survey during regular school hours.

If you do not wish for your child/children to complete the survey please inform your child's class teacher via email by Wednesday 29th May.

Participants in the survey are provided with a random username and password to access and complete the survey online. Individual names cannot be linked to responses which allows it to be completely anonymous. Results will show all combined scores for each group – it is not possible to single out individuals in the results.

The survey takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.

The survey will be available from Monday 27th May. Please use the link below to complete the survey. The survey will close on Monday 10th June.

While participation in the survey is entirely voluntary, it is helpful to us as a school to ascertain student, staff and parent satisfaction data, so we can continue with successful practices and review those which do not enable us to work in partnership with one another as a Thriving Catholic Community.

If you would like more information, please contact the school office.

Winter School Uniform

Students are now required to wear their winter uniform. The boy’s winter uniform is a long sleeve school shirt with long grey pants or shorts. Black school shoes are to be worn by all students. Students are reminded to wear their sports uniform only on designated sports days. School hats are to be worn during all outdoor activities.

Office Communication

Parents are reminded to inform their child/children each morning in relation to their dismissal procedures. Over the last few weeks the school office has received many calls throughout the day relating to changes to how students travel home. Please be reminded that just prior to school dismissal time is not an appropriate time to contact the office as many students have already left their classroom and therefore are unable to receive any notifications.

Parking around the school grounds

We AGAIN ask parents to please not park in the Pre-School allocated parking spots and also not to park in Burns Lane illegally when dropping off or picking up your children.  We have had numerous complaints of our parents being rude when approached about parking illegally.

Riding Bicycles to and from school

There are a number of students who are choosing to ride their scooter to school without a helmet. Parents are required to sign a ‘riding a bicycle to and from school’ consent form which outlines bicycle safety procedures for students in Years 4-6. This consent form does not cover riding a scooter or e-bike. Students are not permitted to ride scooters or e-bikes to school.

Parent Representative Meeting

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming Parent Representative Meeting, where we will finalise fundraising and events.  It will be held on Thursday 6th June at 2.30pm.

This meeting is an excellent opportunity for you to engage with the school, share your insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our school community.  All parents are welcome.

Carline- Safety Procedures

Parents and carers are reminded about the importance of using our school’s carline service safely.

  • Car signs with student surnames need to be clearly displayed and legible
  • Students need to be able to enter and leave the car unassisted
  • Students are not to walk  between cars and are to use the pedestrian crossing
  • Please refrain from opening car boots particularly with large cars - school bags should be transported in the vehicle
  • There needs to be two cars stationed before and after the pedestrian crossing when students enter or disembark from the car
  • Please drive slowly - 5km Speed Limit - and be attentive at all times with the large number of students using this service

Do not use your boot or get your children to walk between two cars to access the boot. Please note: that IF cars are NOT stationary they could potentially move forward without warning.

Do not line up in the car line before 2:45pm. It blocks access to the preschool and creates a traffic jam all the way along Port Hacking Road and beyond.  The ideal time to join the carline is after 3:05pm instead of queing early, then the carline is flowing down the driveway.
