What an exciting and busy first term we have had in Year 1 and 2! Our students have made a fantastic start to the school year, showing kindness, curiosity, and a love of learning every day. At the beginning of the term, students settled into their new classrooms and routines. They worked hard to learn classroom expectations and build friendships. It has been wonderful to see so many smiling faces each morning!
A special highlight of the term was celebrating Harmony Week. Students learned about different cultures from around the world and the importance of inclusion, respect, and belonging. It was wonderful to see students proudly dress up in their cultural clothes, sharing their traditions and backgrounds with their classmates. The classrooms were filled with colour, excitement, and meaningful conversations as we celebrated what makes each of us unique. This has been a beautiful link into the year 1 inquiry topic of Identity and all the parts that make us special.
In year 2 the students have had a blast learning about space and pattern in the sky. Students have been so curious about the planets, moon, sun and have been asking so many questions for them to research and find answers.
We are so proud of all our Year 1 and 2 students for their hard work this term. We look forward to another exciting term of learning ahead!
Well done, everyone!
