Junior Interhouse Cross Country
Bathed in sunshine, Shaw Park provided the perfect backdrop for the 2026 Primary Interhouse Cross Country Carnival, as students from Years 2 to 6 took to the course in a celebration of effort, determination and House pride.
The day began with the 12 Years runners setting the tone, leading from the front in their final Interhouse Cross Country appearance. Running with purpose and pride, they tackled a course that tested both endurance and determination, delivering a fitting conclusion to their junior school cross country carnivals.
At the other end of the field, our youngest competitors embraced the occasion with enthusiasm and courage. The Year 2 students took on their first carnival with energy and excitement, laying the foundations for future years of participation and competition.
Across all age groups, students rose to the challenge of the course, navigating open grass sections and undulating terrain, supported by a chorus of House cheers that echoed across the park. The sense of belonging and connection within Houses was unmistakable, with every runner contributing to the collective effort.
A sincere thank you to our dedicated staff, including Mr Tim O’Rourke and Miss Amy Lewin, whose organisation and support ensured the success of the day. We also acknowledge our parents and spectators, whose encouragement created a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere for all involved.
A memorable day of racing, spirit and sunshine. One that truly captured the essence of Junior School sport at Clayfield College.
