Staffing Update
I am pleased to share some recent staffing updates, involving changes within our team and the addition of new members to our College community.
Belinda Pilgrim
Head of Inclusive Learning
As shared in the Collective at the end of last term, the College had advertised for a Head of Inclusive Learning (Pre-Prep to Year 12). This role will provide leadership across Learning Support, EAL/D, and extension learning.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Belinda Pilgrim as the Head of Inclusive Learning. Belinda brings extensive experience in inclusive education, learning enhancement and academic development, having held senior and middle leadership roles in a range of school settings, including A.B Patterson, St Peter’s Lutheran, Queensland Academy for Science, Maths and Technologies and Anglican Church Grammar School. She is deeply committed to ensuring all students are supported to access the curriculum and achieve their potential, with particular expertise in learning support, NCCD processes, differentiation and gifted education. Belinda is known for her collaborative approach to working with staff, students and families, and we look forward to her continued leadership in strengthening inclusive practice across the school.
Kathryn Dore
Head of English and Humanities
Commencing next week, we welcome Kathryn Dore, Head of English and Humanities. Kathryn is a seasoned educator and leader with over 17 years’ experience in schools, including Villanova and Mount Maria Colleges. Kathryn brings deep expertise in English, Literature and Humanities, alongside a strong track record in curriculum leadership and student growth. She has taught extensively across Years 7 to 12 and is well versed in QCAA expectations, including assessment design, moderation and external assessment processes.
Having held senior and middle leadership roles at Mount Maria College, including Acting Assistant Principal - Curriculum, and Education Leader: Pedagogy and Student Growth, Kathryn is known for her clear instructional leadership, high expectations and strong support of both staff and students. Her background as an external marker for both senior English subjects and NAPLAN, further strengthens her capacity to lead high‑quality teaching and learning across the department.
Natalie Horrobin
2IC of English and Humanities
We are also pleased to announce that Natalie Horrobin has taken on the role of 2IC of English and Humanities, alongside her ongoing position as our Careers Counsellor. Natalie brings a wealth of experience in curriculum leadership, literacy and evidence‑informed teaching across Years 7 to 12. With extensive experience in English, Humanities and Languages education, careers counselling and a strong background in coaching and mentoring, she is known for her collaborative approach. We look forward to Natalie’s continued contribution to supporting both staff and students through this role.
Any teacher changes in the Senior School which result from the above staffing movements will be communicated directly with students and parents/caregivers by the end of this week.
