Grade One / Two

We hope you and your families are all travelling along well. The students have been participating in some fantastic learning and are continuing to demonstrate some pleasing progress in all areas. 

GRADE 1

• In Literacy: We will be learning about the prefix ‘un’ and how to read multi-syllable words. 
• In Numeracy: We will be learning about the features of an analogue clock and telling the time to the hour. 

GRADE 2

• In Literacy: We will be learning about words with tch, ch, tion, or, ore, au, aw. We will be revising all our reading and comprehension strategies and working on improving our grammar with speech marks. We will also continuing reading the novel ‘George's Marvellous Medicine’. In writing, we will revise the structure and features of Informative and Transactional Texts. 
• In Numeracy: We are learning about how to solve different mathematical problems using different methods.
