This year we are starting a new Meadows Primary School tradition and supporting the Salvation Army with a food drive. By coming together and acknowledging cultures in our community who celebrate Christmas, we are showing community spirit and respect for all. The Salvation Army Food Drive will make a difference to many struggling families this holiday season.
Students and families are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items, which can be dropped off at the Christmas tree that we will be putting up in our Welcome Area on Monday 1st of December. The Salvation Army will come to collect all non-perishable food items on the 15th of December. Donations should be placed in the boxes labelled ‘Donations for the food drive’.
PLEASE help make this food drive successful and bring along one item each. Examples of non-perishable foods are, canned foods, pasta, canned fruit, sauces, jams, spreads, rice, dried fruits, flour and anything else that will not easily spoil and is long lasting.
Please do not remove any items once they have been placed inside these boxes under the Christmas tree.
The Salvation Army will collect and assemble all donated food items into food hampers for families in need and distributed during the holiday season. I encourage all students and families to participate in this worthwhile cause.
Coming together as a school community is one of our greatest strengths and one that makes me proud to be Principal of Meadows Primary School. Let’s come together and make this kind gesture for the less fortunate whilst embracing the true spirit of Christmas.

Please note our kindergarten to foundation transition sessions continue. Sessions #1, #2, #3 and #4 are now complete. We have one more session to go.

Families Leaving Meadows P.S. in 2026
To any of our families who, for whatever reason, know they will be leaving and not returning to Meadows Primary School in 2026 please let inform the front office.
We are welcoming new families and carers to join our school community here at Meadows Primary School in 2026. Our inclusive environment supports every student to grow both academically and socially emotionally.
Spread the word and help us build a diverse thriving school community where every child can shine.
