Finishing the Year Strong – Staying True to Our Skye Values

As we head into the final weeks of Term 4, we’re encouraging all students to finish the year with the same enthusiasm and effort they began with.

At Skye Primary School, our 10 Expected Behaviours guide how we learn, play, and connect each day. Whether it’s being organised and ready to learn, showing respect to others, supporting classmates’ learning, or always trying our best, these behaviours help us create a safe and positive school environment.

Teachers are revisiting our behaviour expectations in classrooms and playgrounds to remind students that respect, responsibility, resilience, and relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Families can support this message at home by talking about what these values look like in everyday situations — such as following instructions, using kind words, and celebrating effort.

Together, let’s help our students finish the year feeling proud and connected to each other.
