Grade 3 Report

This term, our Grade 3 children have been diving into the magical world of Matilda by Roald Dahl. The story has been a big hit, with everyone enjoying the fun characters, clever twists, and Matilda’s love of reading and learning. We’ve especially loved reading about Miss Trunchbull and all her outrageous antics!

The students have engaged in wonderful discussions about the story’s themes of bravery, kindness, and standing up for what is right. As part of our unit, children also designed their own Matilda-inspired bookshelves, filled with stories Matilda would adore, along with some of their own personal favourites. It’s been lovely to see their creativity and passion for books shine through.

The class has thoroughly enjoyed exploring this timeless story together, and it has sparked a real excitement for reading—just like Matilda herself!
