Interested in becoming a Pet Educator?
Would you like to be paid to teach children about responsible pet ownership and behaving safely around dogs? Do you own a happy, healthy, sociable dog aged between 18 months – 8 years? The Responsible Pet Ownership education program is now recruiting Pet Educators in: VIC – Hume, Darebin, Melton, Wyndham, Boroondara, Maribyrnong, Brimbank, Port Phillip, Glen Eira, Bayside, Kingston, Monash, Greater Dandenong and Ballarat local government areas.
The program’s Pet Educators visit kindergartens and schools with their dog to give a short presentation to children about dog safety.
To be eligible to apply, you must own a happy and healthy dog that is 18 months to 8 years old that resides with you for a least 1 year and enjoys socialising with children. Your dog will need to pass our suitability test.
The Responsible Pet Ownership education program is provided by the Victorian Government. Successful candidates will be employed by the program’s contracted staffing and payroll provider, Randstad Recruitment as temporary labour hire. Training will be provided (for you and your dog), support and learning opportunities. Hours are during the school terms and are flexible.

Suitable applicants will be invited to dog suitability testing and interview on Monday 20th April at Bulla Exhibition Centre in Bulla, Victoria.
