Last Friday, 20 March, was National Ride2School Day. We collected data about how every student travelled to school and were amazed to find that 353 students walked, rode, scootered or skated to school on Friday. This equals 43 kilograms of carbon emissions saved. If we did this every school day we would save over 8,600 kilograms of carbon emissions a year. The class with the highest percentage of students actively travelling to school was 2A with 91% of students walking, riding, scootering or skating to school on Friday. 

Thank you for participating in the day and we hope you continue to actively travel to school as much as possible. Remember, part way is okay. Stop the car a few blocks from school and walk the rest of the way. Every little bit helps.

Congratulations to 1C for having the most nude food lunch boxes for Weeks 5 and 6.

Special mention to 4B who were the most improved class from last fortnight for nude food lunch boxes.

A nude food lunch box has zero packaging waste. Compost and reusable containers / bags are okay. Please continue to reduce the amount of waste / rubbish being sent to school.
