- Detailed Illustration: Depicting through pattern and line two different contrasting areas considering scale, shape, colour, and tone, works inspired by Rob Lowe/ Supermundane.
- Ceramic Sculpture: Representing the balance of a coral reef ecosystem Appling the use of form, detail, and technique, inspired by the artist Dianne Lublinski.
- Gods Eye weaving: representing the interconnectedness of an ecosystem through layering of colour and form.

- Inquiry into Australian desert.
- Explore desert environments and identify them as ecosystems with many different living things.
- Observe and describe similarities and differences in features of different desert dwelling species.
- Recognise patterns and investigate whether specific features help plants and animals survive in their environment.
- Investigate water evaporation (movement of matter) and relate it to surface area.

- Learn and choreograph songs for the Christmas Concert.
- Discuss the need for balance and form over a full concert and also within year level.
- Compare different examples of music noting the change of form and pattern used to express an idea.
Physical Education

How we organise ourselves
Central Idea:
Teamwork and participation in games influence the success and fairness to all players.
Lines Of Inquiry:
- Strategies for effective teamwork-
- Continue developing the use of strategies, teamwork, cooperation and commitment in a game. Undertake a variety of roles, such as umpire, coach and team manager.
- Students are developing skills in how they play a game, sportsmanship and leadership qualities instilled in their performance outcomes.
- Continue to develop skills in a game using prior invasion game knowledge and applying those skills to creating a new game.

Students Will:
- Create a game with a team and develop rules, tactics, focusing on game sense and strategies.
- Incorporate knowledge of different games such as Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee.
- Using Orienteering to enhance perspective on planning, leadership, teamwork, communication and connection with others.
Library
All students are encouraged to borrow books from the library. The focus is on reading for enjoyment, interest and information.
The children also have the opportunity to practise their borrowing skills and further their love of reading.
The library program also supports and extends the units of inquiry being studied in each year level and provides classrooms with resources to enrich the units offering varied forms of information.
