St Mary’s Got Talent, this Saturday at the School Fete!

Thank you to our student School Community and Wellbeing Leaders who have been encouraging and organising all of our participants for our talent show this Saturday at the School Fete.

It has also been a great delight to see the students practising their items during recess and lunch times this week!

All students and parents are invited at 1:30pm this Saturday to witness the great variety of talents that we have here at St Mary’s.

Logos and Mascots for our School Norms (Respectful, Responsible, Safe)

Earlier this year we invited submissions from students to design a new logo and school mascot for our norms Respectful, Responsible and Safe.  We thank the many students who took the time to submit their sketches and ideas.  Together with the Student Representative Council, a compilation has been shortlisted and given to each class for voting.  The votes have been tallied and we will be announcing at assembly tomorrow which designs have received the popular vote.  The logos and mascots will assist the Positive Behaviour for Learning program by making it easier for students to identify and connect with expected ways of learning, being and doing.

Updated Landscape Master Plan

In case you missed it last time, our Landscape Master Plans have been updated thanks to Paul Pritchard, which now includes a planting schedule. This means we will be ready to tackle the next stage, the preparation of garden beds and planting of vegetation.  Paul has also generated some 2D and 3D images of the desired results.  All of our major event fundraising through the P&F this year will be going towards this project, with the Zen Zone and Playground gardens slated as priority areas to develop in Autumn 2024.  The funds raised through the cake stalls will be used to purchase recreational equipment for the students to use in the Zen Zone next year. Some students have already had a sneak peak of the video and we are glad that they are just as excited by the vision as we are.

Our fete this Saturday will also help us realise this vision. Please feel free to invite extended family and friends. We look forward to a great event!
