Japanese

Year 11's Japanese skills are growing more complex each week. They are learning increasingly difficult grammatical skills, attempting to memorise new kanji every few weeks and putting all of that together into various reading, writing, listening and speaking tasks. Have a look at some of their work here:

Year 7 Music

Year 7 have been learning all about the orchestra and revising all their knowledge of the Concepts of Music! They’ve also been preparing for their Listening Test and building their performance skills.

Year 8 Visual Arts

This term year 8 have been working on designing, carving and printing lino. Inspired by Pop Art and contemporary pop culture they considered positive and negative space to create a design around a packaged food product. They have been developing their carving skills to carefully carve away the negative spaces and are in the process of printing. Students will use their prints to make a work inspired by Andy Warhol’s Brillo Boxes for the CAPA Showcase in week 7.

Year 9 Visual Arts

As part of the Still Life unit this term, year 9 Visual Arts have been working on developing their arrangement skills and understanding of symbolism.
