From the Principal
Term 4 has commenced with the Higher School Certificate exams for our Year 12 students. Although there were lots of nerves on the morning of the first English exam, Year 12 have approached this final task of their formal schooling with enthusiasm and maturity. Mr Paul Brown, our HSC supervisor, was extremely complimentary of the studious approach and effort that every student put into their exams. We wish them the best of luck for great results when they are released later this term.
Term 4 has also seen the introduction of the NSW Government and Department of Education policy for a mobile phone ban in high schools. Camden High School has implemented a Locked Device Pouch System and this applies to all school hours, including break times at recess and lunch, as well as while students are on school-based excursions. Unlocking stations are available at key entrances to the school, and students are expected to turn off their phones and place them into pouches upon entry to the school grounds each morning. Unlocking stations are then available at the end of each day after the final bell has gone. Further information regarding the mobile phone ban has been emailed to families, and is also available on our website.
